Bloomington, or any small fishable lakes near Bear Lake? - acey - 06-13-2009 I plan to be at Camp Hunt, the Boy Scout camp on the west side of Bear Lake the week of June 15-20th. I don't think bank fishing there is very good, so I was wondering about taking off for a day to explore the smaller fishing ponds around St. Charles. I have never been to Bloomington Lake before. Any ideas if it is worth the drive up there? I assume it is all rainbow trout there. How long does it take to drive up there from the main highway? I heard a long time ago about a lake in the hills to the east of Bear Lake in Idaho (not Montpelier reservoir) that fished good. Any ideas on the name? I dont know how long the ride is in a truck we usualy take the quads and make a little better time but you do have a short hike from the end of the road. [signature] |
