Gator, Chick, Crappie, 6/8/09, solo - FishNews - 06-09-2009
Put in at WT about 8am and stayed on the water until 2:30. I wanted to find some crappie on bluffs but gave up on that around 11am as I didn't have any by then. Went to some deep docks on the river and found a few here and a few there. Most were almost on the bottom in 14-18 ft. of water. I used 1/32 oz jig with shad colors dipped in chartruce of course. Total was 25 crappie and 10 being keeper size, 1 nice catfish, 2 lm bass, and a few blue gill and strippers threw in the mix. Water temp was about 78 when I left. It was a great day to be on the water.
