New to Fishing, New t the forums - jkru - 06-09-2009 First off I have to admit I know nothing about fishing. I couldnt even identify the fish if I did catch one. There is so much information its kind of overwhemling not sure where to begin. I live in Washington State. Im often out on the sound or lake washington. I am not sure what kind of fishing rod to buy. I just baught one and im pretty sure its the wrong rod.. Its 7' rod with a pen 500 reel. It doesnt have a level wind.. I want to fish for salmon and lake trout. Is that rod a ok starting point? Were should I post such questions? Thanks in advance!!
