Went to Gillis' Pond around 11am and fished til about 2pm and caught over 12 bass. Two where over 3lbs (pic below) and the others all over 1 but mostly 2 to 3lbs.
I had a LUNKER get away. It quite possibly could have been the largest bass I have ever hooked but after a 10 minute fight I had it about 4 feet from the bank and it surfaced with the mightiest jump I've ever seen and spit the lure out in my face! Just to guesstimate I would say over 10lb possibly up to 12lb...
All fish where caught in a 2 acre pond using a Black/Blue 1/2oz "Jig n Pig" with a black lizard with purple twister tail soft bait broke in half and used in place of a pork rind or other trailer.
