shsimons, Chick, Bass, 5-18-09, Surf Dude - FishNews - 05-19-2009 I called Surf Dude up at the beginning of April, I told him, man, you can catch a 20 lb bag in about 30 minutes if you hit it right. He didn't want to go. Then I called him in the beginning of May, I told him, dude, you can fish like 1 hr and catch a 20 lb bag of smallmouth. He still didn't want to go, he said he'd rather wait till May 18th when he could go surfing. After all the fun we had, who could blame him? TVA has been showing me a great time lately!<br /><br />Our plan was to meet at 4:45, so Craig thought it would be a good idea to come at 5:15 and let me take care of the "bait situation." My back and shoulders really appreciate the workout Craig, I definitely did not want any help.<br />We kept score, I won 7-4. Our catch included white bass, spots, 1 smallmouth, 1 largemouth, and 1 crappie.<br /><br />Now, I want everyone to keep score of who is the best surfer.
