[signature] Re: [tob04002] Any fishing near Rexburg??? - Browningsilver - 05-15-2009 I use to go to school in Rexburg and I bought a trolling motor for my canoe. I would go to Island Park, Henry's and Ririe Reservoir with it. Henry's and Ririe can have bad waves, especially Henry's, I nearly ended up swimming back to shore a couple times just before the 3-foot haystacks started rolling in. Even big boats have been capsized there. For bankfishing my favorite place was Ashton Reservoir. It's really just part of the river and remnants of a small reservoir. I'd hit the dock with a bobber and weighted worm a couple feet down. Just let the current pull it in the deeper parts and sometimes you can pull a bunch of small ones out. I really like going there because it is so much closer than anything else. If you get a chance to put a boat in it or you may do really well. A year or two ago the state record brown came out of it. A huge fatty. If you need directions on how to get there, let me know. If you're willing to drive further, then there is Palies. It's about an hour if I remember. It is suppose to be real good although, I've never been fishing there. [signature]
