fisherpal2k, Parksville, Bass, 05/01/09 - FishNews - 05-02-2009 <br /> Well after the rain this morning I was working out in the yard and it finally quit and the sun started shining. Couldn't take it any more so I had to hook up the boat and go. Called several folks but all was busy and I decided what the heck.<br /> Got to the lake around 12:30 and started for the lower end. Stopped by a little place that I fish just before the dam area and had a ball. Missed several fish before I finally figured it out and had to let them eat it. Most were spots so I moved on down the lake. I was hoping to find some of the Large mouth on bed but didn't get my wish. <br /> Threw a Fluke and then a shakey head from DJW Baits (Thanks Ranger Rob!) and got quite a few fish. All total I had 30 fish in the boat with 4 over 3 lbs. Best 5 would have been 14# and change. Forgot to take the camera so no pics this trip. Great day on the water and finally gave in to the wind around 4:30 and came home. Saw several folks on the water but didn't get to talk to anyone. I was wanting to see if there was anyone doing good on the largemouth. Had one nice smallie but that was the only one.
