Fished Wilson Tailrace for a couple of hours this afternoon. Was trying for White Bass with the hopes of finding a bonus striper. The white bass are still thick there. I've started using the 4" samurai shad with the 1 oz jig head and tying a little 1/16th oz crappie jig above it on the line like is shown in one of the pictures slo-ride posted. The white bass seem to really like that combination. I catch two at a time quite often with that rig. I don't know where the big stripers have gone, but the small ones are still there. I caught 4 stripers around 5 lbs just before dark in the bubblers this afternoon. I'm starting to really like this tailrace fishing. There always seems to be something biting over there.
