Jigs - Tapajos - 04-29-2009 So after our 2 trips steelhead fishing and hundreds of dollars in jigs. We decided to try tying a few for ourselves. Jigs at the store ![]() Jigs we made .under .20c a piece total. Try a bit of black marabou on them it works great. Also a black wooly worm with a white head. I think it costs me around 8 cents to pour,paint, and tie each jig. I am getting a 1/8 oz heavy wire with a 60 degree eye also. Not many of them around but you seem to hook them in the upper mouth which seems to be softer and easier to hook.
