Chesterfield Report - fishingrocket - 04-27-2009

Chesty,

I tried it today (4-26-09) and it took some looking to find fish with the finder. I think smart fish avoid boats and by the time the transducer - on the rear - gets over them, they are gone. Anyway, I finally located them in 34 feet of water (near the middle) and between 10 and 20 feet deep. The water was off color so I thought it might be a skunk job but finally got them to hit one of my outfits and picked up 4 fish. I kept a 16 and 17 incher and I down sized my photo of their fillets so that I could post it legally here. It looks like I may have got carried away with my downsizing [cool].

The photo does not show some black spots that were reported by ice fisherman a few months back.

As you can see, if you ignore the black spots, Chesterfield still produces some of the more edible slimers around.

The picture is fine, but why fillet? I like looking at their EYES [laugh]

Nice fillets though.
