Ririe ? - curt69 - 04-20-2009 Anyone been to Ririe . I am thinking about going that way Tuesday . Thanks Curt G. [signature] Re: [curt69] Ririe ? - prvrt - 04-20-2009 Well, the fishing is not so hot on Ririe. Fished it Sat. and ended up with 5 Kokes and 2 Cuts with a few Kokes lost. Nothing over 15". Not a good total for 4 people fishing. Other boat had 3 people and only caught 1 fish. Did not try for Bass or Perch, but it seemed there were some nice looking Perch groups on the FF up towards the dam. Water temp was from 40-46 at Blacktail with very brown dirty water to 39-41 towards Juniper and much cleaner but stained water. There were at least 7 IDFG traps up the canyon across from Blacktail. It was nice to go fishing and the weather was not to bad at all. [signature] Re: [prvrt] Ririe ? - windriver - 04-20-2009 Sounds like the water temp will need to go up at least 10 degrees in order for the bass to really start hitting. I know people fish earlier for them but I don't know if I can fish that slow and patient. Windriver [signature] Re: [prvrt] Ririe ? - curt69 - 04-20-2009 Thanks for the report . I will be going up tomorrow . Curt G. [signature] Re: [curt69] Ririe ? - ductaped4runner - 04-20-2009 that is my thing. i'm a fast water fishermen normally. i love to bounce the bottom under pali ![]() [signature] Re: [ductaped4runner] Ririe ? - Belasko - 04-20-2009 Sounds like you need to explore more techniques while bass fishing. Try topwater when you're out early (near sunup) or at dusk. I have yet to find a technique much more exciting than twitching a popper or spook on the surface then watching the water just explode like a mine when those bass hit! CRIPES!!! why won't it warm up more so they can get active?!?!? [signature] Re: [curt69] Ririe ? - curt69 - 04-21-2009 Went to Ririe today caught 4 small trout in 4.5 hours . I hope the ice is off Pali ![]() [signature] Re: [curt69] Ririe ? - prvrt - 04-22-2009 Looks like you averaged about what we did. 1 Fish an hour. Come on Pali ![]() [signature] Re: [curt69] Ririe ? - iliketofish - 04-22-2009 Thanks for the report. I tried it yesterday, and got skunked, but I was bass fishing, and mostly just trying out my new pontoon boat. [signature] Re: [iliketofish] Ririe ? - ChrisTheFish - 04-22-2009 How'd she fare? [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - iliketofish - 04-22-2009 So far I love it. It rides pretty high in the water for me being a big guy. The first time I assembled it it took me quite a while to figure everything out, but now it takes me about 20 minutes. I did have to get a new pump becasue the crappy foot pump that came with it took 45 minutes to inflate both pontoons! but I expected that to happen, I got one at cal ranch for like $15 and now it takes about 5 minutes. But so far I don't have any complaints at all, especially for the price. Did you get one yet? [signature] Re: [iliketofish] Ririe ? - ChrisTheFish - 04-22-2009 Not yet. I am looking at this one right now... http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=416812 [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - chrome_junky - 04-22-2009 it looks almost identical to my colorado. [signature] Re: [chrome_junky] Ririe ? - ChrisTheFish - 04-22-2009 Yeah, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be an updated version or what. I was originally planning on getting the Colorado, but the price went up about 50 bucks from the looks of it. [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - prvrt - 04-23-2009 The Colorado does have a new version and they were $299 at Sam's Club in IF. The Tieton Ex and Tieton III are the same thing as the Colorado, just sold by another importer. [signature] Re: [prvrt] Ririe ? - ChrisTheFish - 04-23-2009 Do you know the difference between the EX and the III? I tried to figure out what it was, but got tired of looking for the difference. [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - prvrt - 04-23-2009 No idea on the difference betweenthose two. They look identical to me with the same exact options. [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - chrome_junky - 04-23-2009 well just thought i would let you know i love my colorado i think its just as nice as any high end model. infact i like it more because of all the pockets wich is something that buckbags and northfork dont offer alot of on a 9ft model. [signature] Re: [chrome_junky] Ririe ? - ChrisTheFish - 04-23-2009 Thanks, It seems that I have only heard good about the Colorado. I am hoping that the Tieton is the very same, but with a new name. [crazy] [signature] Re: [ChrisTheFish] Ririe ? - curt69 - 04-23-2009 Tuesday while I was Trolling straight across from Juniper boat dock . I marked a lot of fish 25 feet deep in 45 feet of water . I didn't have anything in my boat that would get down that far . No lead core or down riggers . Anybody have a guess what they might have been ? They showed up on my fish finder as big targets .
