Well, the fishing is not so hot on Ririe. Fished it Sat. and ended up with 5 Kokes and 2 Cuts with a few Kokes lost. Nothing over 15". Not a good total for 4 people fishing. Other boat had 3 people and only caught 1 fish. Did not try for Bass or Perch, but it seemed there were some nice looking Perch groups on the FF up towards the dam. Water temp was from 40-46 at Blacktail with very brown dirty water to 39-41 towards Juniper and much cleaner but stained water. There were at least 7 IDFG traps up the canyon across from Blacktail. It was nice to go fishing and the weather was not to bad at all.

Sounds like the water temp will need to go up at least 10 degrees in order for the bass to really start hitting. I know people fish earlier for them but I don't know if I can fish that slow and patient.

that is my thing. i'm a fast water fishermen normally. i love to bounce the bottom under pali
es. or in the channel below gem lake. there are some monsters there. cromejunky caught a 15# plus brown out of there. dummy decided to eat. and boy did it taste like crap. i don't like to eat big brown. they don't taste good. big rainbows though from under the powerplant. mmmmmm.......i remember my dad caught a 9 pound rainbow from under there on a size 18 shrimp fly. and boy was that amazin. when we open it up the meat was so rich lookin. it had more color then salmon. they love those shrimp and that is what gives them the great color in the meat and the great taste. browns are more aggresive feeds and like minnows and such. i don't know that i have ever caught a brown on a shrimp fly. i have caught lots of rainbows. but yeah that i my problem with tryin to fish bass. its to slow. lol don't get me wrong i love to fish but i like action. not sayin them hittin it all the time but crainkbaits and spinniers or jigin i just like to give a presentation not just drag a grub accross the bottom as slow as you can. that just don't do it for me. sorry guys its so long i kinda got distracted on off subject. Sounds like you need to explore more techniques while bass fishing. Try topwater when you're out early (near sunup) or at dusk. I have yet to find a technique much more exciting than twitching a popper or spook on the surface then watching the water just explode like a mine when those bass hit! CRIPES!!! why won't it warm up more so they can get active?!?!?

So far I love it. It rides pretty high in the water for me being a big guy. The first time I assembled it it took me quite a while to figure everything out, but now it takes me about 20 minutes. I did have to get a new pump becasue the crappy foot pump that came with it took 45 minutes to inflate both pontoons! but I expected that to happen, I got one at cal ranch for like $15 and now it takes about 5 minutes. But so far I don't have any complaints at all, especially for the price.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be an updated version or what. I was originally planning on getting the Colorado, but the price went up about 50 bucks from the looks of it.

The Colorado does have a new version and they were $299 at Sam's Club in IF. The Tieton Ex and Tieton III are the same thing as the Colorado, just sold by another importer.

well just thought i would let you know i love my colorado i think its just as nice as any high end model. infact i like it more because of all the pockets wich is something that buckbags and northfork dont offer alot of on a 9ft model.

Tuesday while I was Trolling straight across from Juniper boat dock . I marked a lot of fish 25 feet deep in 45 feet of water . I didn't have anything in my boat that would get down that far . No lead core or down riggers . Anybody have a guess what they might have been ? They showed up on my fish finder as big targets . Thanks Curt G.
