Chesterfield/Daniels - ironrod - 04-19-2009
Anyone know if these are ice-free and has anyone fished these since? I have a regional manager coming into town and we're suppose to take him fly-fishing somewhere tomorrow but the NF and SF don't sound too hot.... If anyone else knows of a good place to try....any help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if they're 100% ice free, but I know they are pontoon fishable at least. Mackay was all but ice free a couple days ago and that lake is one of the last to open up. The other lakes here around Preston are open, just haven't checked Daniels.

] I think we've decided to head to the NF above Ashton. Water seems to be fairly clear and you can usually catch a few small rainbows on top if you get a nice day and it's suppose to be a good one tomorrow. I'll give those southern lakes a few more weeks.[signature]

Daniels is ICE FREE and water was 49 Monday.....but there are no fish in there[

The only boat ramp I am aware of at Daniels is cement and the water is high so easy launch.
