Gator, Chick, Crappie, 12/16/09, My son Dewayne - FishNews - 04-17-2009
Well, I was blessed today to have my son in town for some fishin&#39;. He lives in Franklin Tenn. We started about 1pm and stopped about 6:30 pm.<br />We fished everywhere I could throw, shallow, med. deep, and deep. We found a few crappie at all depths and a few blue gills plus Dewayne caught (almost caught) a huge blue cat, I think would weigh 40 lbs. on 4 lb Mr. Crappie line. He fought it a while but broke off at the boat. Water temp in low 60&#39;s and we used the 1/32 jigs with the panfish assassins in various shad colors and also some BG Shads some even dipped chartruse garlic. Total was 12 crappie with 6 keepers, 5 blue gills, and almost a moster blue cat. A great day to be out and especially great to have Dewayne along. We plan to try again tomorrow morning. emoHungry
