8up, Barkley, crappie, 4/ 8-9/ 09, sis and daughter - FishNews - 04-13-2009
After Dad went without me Tuesday and caught 25 crappie with 4 Tarps. I couldn't sit at home so yesterday I took my sister with me and we went through 1/4lb of tuffies. We caught 9 keepers and she got the big one 14" on the money. Then this morning when my daughter got off work she called asking if I wanted to fish, of course I said yes pick up some minnows. She got home and we hit the water about 10:00 but she had bought shiners, the fish didn't mind. We were out of minnows at 12:20. So we made a run for more bait and a sandwich. We were back on the water by 1:40 and out of minnows again by 4:20. We ended up with 23 crappie to eat (4 tarp) and at least 20 that didn't measure up. We also caught 2 shellcrackers, 4 channel cats, 1 drum and about 1/2dz yellow bass. It was a great day with my daughter. We caught 5 species, had many laughs, tons of
