Trolling motor help... - muddywaters1954 - 04-02-2009 Hello, new to the site[], and must state...sure looks like a very informative site! Were from the Monterey Bay area (Dad & I)and ventured to Clear Lake for the last four days! Must state, had a tough time, as it looked like we were a bit early[frown]. To make things worse...once I through the Pinpoint trolling motor over the side it would not work. Tinkered with it for hours and into the night...no workie!!! Four days turning the 225 on and off....dang! Anyway, were now in the market for a new trolling motor. Were looking at the Mini Kota (Fortrex) and Motor Guide (Pro Series). Q. Is there a review guide for trolling motors on this site or even a poll? Poll to whom is using what brands ect. Sure could use some help. Thanks in advance.
