marker buoys - rw02kr43 - 03-23-2009

My wife bought me a pack of marker buoys while at bass pro this past weekend. How do I use them?

You locate active fish and then toss it out over them to fish the area and/or drift back over it.[Wink]

They are also good for marking structure. Once you find it on your sonar toss out a marker and then you know where to cast you line to.

Okay thanks. I guess I need to get a sonar then sometime. [Image: happy.gif] I'd mostly be using these from my float tube I think.

Well in a float tube i could see how they would help you a great deal. If you find a place you are catching fish drop a marker down and then you will be able to tell how well you are holding your position. Being a pontoon owner i know how we get blown around the lake. I would thank the lady that got you those markers, they will become a valuable asset to your fishing gear.

Those little markers are very handy from the Tube. You can mark out several good spots and work you way back and forth.

A good sonar will be an asset as well. That will give you a clue as to what you are marking.[cool]
