Ice conditions at Roberts - me_and_myboy - 03-13-2009
Is the ice still safe at Roberts? I would like to take my son up there Saturday to catch some perch.

Fished there tonight and last night from about 6:30 PM til I got too cold to stay. Ice is still plenty thick, but is a little slippery now that it doesnt have much snow on it. My auger is broken so I popped open a couple old holes. The fish seem to be harder to find each time I go, in comparisson to the first time I fished there. Between last night and tonight I caught probably 30 or so. Have fun if you go. I think the best bait you can use is perch meat. I am going to try and hit some open water on Saturday. Springfield maybe?
