So how has the economy affected your fishing hobby? What tips do you guys have o save some money on the next trip? Thanks!

Fish the community ponds. 3 miles away. I caught 31 slimers today in 3 hours.[cool]

i know it sure has cut the amount of days i go fishing down. Mainly because my wife has my wallet tighter than a frogs but. Yet if it wasnt for her i would probly wouldnt have a thing to my name.

I'll still fish the retention pond at my work every day during lunch and break. Then the local lakes again from my tube and on foot. It's been too cold to really fish so far this year. I waded a river last week and fell in. So I won't be doing that again until it's warmer.

I'm retired and I'll go fishing at anytime and anywhere until they have to pry my fishing pole from my dead cold hands.

I only buy two items from Wal-Mart. I buy all of them, every time all over the country. 3x Zero Super Stretchys and 5 inch shad colored Tiki Worms. Cheap and productive...

the economy got me back into fishing! i had been spending the time i should've been fishing playing golf. i live close to a river and a nice creek, and i cruise the clearance racks at bass pro the few times a year i buy new gear. i got a pretty good tacklebox from my dad when he stopped fishing, so i lucked out there

I havn't updated my tackle up until recently: was only a few new spinners and some worms... Was able to grab up a new rod though...
