Gator, Chick, Crappie, 3/9/09, Solo - FishNews - 03-10-2009
I started at 12:00 noon and fished until 6:00 pm for crappie. I managed to catch 15 crappie (only 4 keepers). Found some on brush in WT creek in about 6-8 ft of water, a few on docks in the creek in about 15 ft of water and a couple on docks off the river in about 10=14 ft. of water. I used white stinger mostly but some caught on panfish assassins in shad colors. Water temp varied from around 57 to over 59 degrees. I think "shade" was the key today but just couldn't find da good concentration of quality fish. Still, a great day to be on the water.
