jason, Chickamauga, LM & Spaaaaaats, 2-28-2009, Bob - FishNews - 03-02-2009 <br /> When my father-in-law called and asked if I wanted to go in the crappy weather, I originally wussed out. However, his long history of break downs prevented me from letting him go alone, so I met him at Harrison Bay around 11:00. It didn't take long after launching to see that all the hot spots were occupied and that the weather was indeed crappyemoLaugh. <br /> To keep the runtime down, we started at the mouth of Lakesite (Lakeside?) and very quickly boated 3 solid keepers, one of which was a huge spaaaaat. When I turned on the camera to have proof of my trophy, the battery was dead...I almost cried . We blew the next two hours inside the cove fishing boat slips and the channel swings without a nibble. Figuring the points and ledges were better, we headed back to the Bay and ran into Jmax and Fishin Junkie who were faring better than us. However, after seeing Jmax the emoIdea came on and we made a bee-line for Wolftever. Over the next couple of hours we boated 4 more that measured and lost a good smallie at the boat. It's amazing how acrobatic they can be in that frigid wateremoBang.<br /> Overall, the day turned out ok. We caught seven in 6 hours and all measured. I left the scales at home but the Golden Rule had our shortest at 16 1/2" and largest at 19 1/4"...my magnum spaaaaat that I don't have a pic ofemoBawl. Any idea what an egg-laden spot with that length would weigh? <br /> All fish came on either a LC Staysee 90 in American Shad or a DT-10 in Red Craw. Depth ranged from 8-12 feet on points and ledges outside coves.
