I have had better luck on the smaller sizes for bass, panfish, and chain pickerel. But I have caught brown trout on the larger models while trolling. Try jerking it as you retrieve to give it the effect of a wounded fish. We call it bobbing,and even name the lure Bob Yea you kinda twitch it "jerk it" or bob is as we call it cause the lure kinda just bobs up and down. I like the jointed for bass. Seem to work pretty good.
