Got down to chick dam about 11:30am, fish for an hour, nothing. I went down river where I saw about 1" shad everywhere, barely alive. I saw fish taking them topwater, so i figured id try. 3rd cast i caught about a 12" crappie, very fat female,let her go. Very light bite . Caught a few yellows and whites. I wont complain about the yellows anymore. Broke my 2mo. dry spell. Crappie and white caught on 1/32 hair jig. Yellows caught on 1/16 chartruce curlytail. All in about 5 ft of water. Had something pullin drag hard. I thought I had a nice SM on. finally got it in, fowl hooked gizzard. emoDoh Good to catch some fish though. A little windy. emoSmile
