i have never ice fished it but was reading a artical that said the ice isnt thick enough alot of years until feb. so was wanting to make sure it was worth my drive have you been doing any good after kokanie

With the recent cold weather you should be approaching 9-12 in. of ice on the main lake. With the lake going up you might have fun getting on the ice. The edge is usually bad. The back side of Big Elk where we usually find the kokes may have 12-24 inches of ice. Good luck if you go.
