Deep Creek and Weston Report - SteelieNut - 01-12-2009 Wow, what a slow weekend! I spent both days on the ice and it was far and few between. As for Deep, I fished daylight to 11am. Not nearly as fast as a week ago. I finally found fish in 28 feet of water, suspended at about 16 feet. Without the vexilar it would have been a Really slow day. My brother lost one at the hole that he thought to be close to 25"! A real hog. About 11:45 we dropped lines in Weston. The people leaving when we got there said they hadn't got a bite all morning, and only seen one fished iced. We tried anyway. They were right, it was slow. My brother did catch one rainbow there though. It's a 21" in the picture below. I guess I'll have to find some perch somewhere else. I found that Deep usually slows down after three weeks, but still fishing is good. Thanks for telling us about Weston; I want to make one more trip down south before Riirie and Pali ![]() OvidCreek [signature] Re: [OvidCreek] Deep Creek and Weston Report - iwantabuggy - 01-12-2009 I am trying to see a fish in that picture but it is really hard to see past the orange glare! LOL.[laugh] [signature] Re: [iwantabuggy] Deep Creek and Weston Report - SteelieNut - 01-13-2009 Ha, I found a lot more humor in that one than my brother did.[laugh] I'm still laughin' [signature] |
