Fish finder help - ratstar - 01-05-2009

My girlfriends mom is letting me use her late husbands small fishfinder and she doesnt know where any instuctions are. Its the HAWKEYE FishFinder 3355P

Anyone have any tips or tricks? Do i just drop the thing in a ways or what?

Word of advise. Keep it warm on the way out on to the ice. They don't work well if they think they are cold. Once turned on the cold doesn't bother them as much but they hate to turn on and work if they are cold.

Thanks for the help guys. I threw it in the water and tested it out, when its on the high sensitivity it will detect my lure even! Not too bad.
