Steelhead fishing , anyone ? - lonehunter - 12-31-2008

I was just wondering if anyone else was out doing any winter steelheading ?

If you are what river and how's the action ?

I'm going nuts wishing to go but have to wait another couple weeks before I take a trip . Then again , one real good report and I might have to put everything else on hold for some winter holdovers [Image: happy.gif].

I've been beyond busy lately and havn't made it out for the winter crome hunt.

The neighbor down the road has been fishing the 6th street dam area here in Grand Rapids and has been doing good. I have a bag of fresh fillets in my freezer from him so I know he's tellin the truth.

Hopefully this weekend I'll get some fishing in, personal report to follow.

Enjoy out there... and keep warm.

I'm looking to head over either to the Manistee or the Footsite this weekend myself .

While splitting wood for the stove and fireplace I have come across some rather large larva , I'm freezing them and plan on giving them a go for the cromers .
