Trying to decide between Porcupine or Hyrum where to take the boat this weekend. Taking the wife and just want her to catch something, don't care what. You guys know how it is, get the wife into fishing, and I might be able to snag a new outboard to replace my wimpy electric trolling motor

] With the warm weather Hyrum will be jammed pack with skiers and PWC. I would suggest Porcupine to get away from the crowd.[signature]

Homer,I fished Porcupine on saturday and we knocked em dead,fast action from 8 am -1pm 25'-70' cought kokes and rainbows and 1 cutt using down rigger with fluresent orange spoons all fish were suspended!!"BIG FISH RULE"M.H.

Homer, if you have leaded line I would try about 4-5 colors out and if you dont have leaded line I would put a couple of those big egg sinkers on and see what happens??We fished just east of the dam on the north side of the res. is where we cought most of the fish!!"BIG FISH RULE"M.H.

You may want to try a variety of dipsy divers. There are a couple more brands, that will dive from 10 to 40 feet. They aren't too expensive, and they work pretty decent. I think I'd try porcupine if I were you. Good luck wherever you go.

[#ff0000]Porcupine is pretty much a waste of time if you can't get down deep. You can do OK with just monofilament on Hyrum in the morning before all of those lazy-sleep-in-until-eleven-noisy-personal-water-craft-operators get stirring, and then take her to the beach area for a barbeque. After that you can always try pounding the edges for bass and perch when the middle turns into the Hyrum 500 speedway. The big seller for the wife there is the indoor porcelain and showers instead of the half round roll on a sagebrush branch Porcupine has to offer. Enjoy! [/#ff0000]
