I don't flip myself, but maybe the other folks can add to his reply. Knots, I use a polamer knot most times on all my rigs. [signature] Re: [hunter_man9k] new at pitching and flipping - midtnhooker - 03-10-2009 6'6" MH plus a 6.3 : 1 or 7.1:1 reel to winch em out. i use 12 lb mono alot, but thicker cover may call for 14+ line or even braid. just get a cup and go at it. its a timing thing but youll be amazed how many fish youve been missing by not presenting your lure quiet enough or close enough to their cover. ive always pitched alot more b/c our lakes are fairly clear and the cover can be sparse, so i dont bother with flippin as it spooks too many fish that a well placed pitch would nab!
