Deep Creek - catchandrelease - 11-11-2008 I went up to Deep Creek on Friday and had a great fishing trip. Between myself, my dad and another guy we caught 30 fish and easily lost that many more. The biggest was about 19" and about 2 or 3 lbs. All fish were caught on flies. When that place freezes it should be really good ice fishing. Can't wait to get up there again. Thanks [signature] Re: [1Mudman] Deep Creek - catchandrelease - 11-12-2008 Deep Creek is located up Weston Canyon. If you are coming from Malad you will go East up Weston canyon. It is the first reservoir that you will come to. If you continue on up the canyon will come to Weston reservoir. It is a fun place to fish from the bank, boat, or pontoon. There are some really nice fish in there. If you have any other questions please ask. As you come along the road you will see a sign for a sportsman's access. There is a lot of public access to it. Word of warning to those who have not been there. It is very hard to get in and out when it snows hard. I have had to chain up several times. It didn't really seem to matter what you were using only dark colors seemed to work best. C&R [signature] |
