lake mead 10/12/08 - BigE - 10-15-2008
[cool]Went out early a.m. just south of 33 hole. Caught three smallmouth bass 2lb,1lb.,and a dink. Also got two largemouth bass, both dinks. Baits used were zara spook puppy(2),gulp minow grub(2), and a rattle trap. I didn't see any boils. Was hoping to cash in on some stripers like BaySport but no go. Sorry no pics; digital camera took a dump.

Sounds like a great day on the water! Love those zara spook puppies, lots of success with them. Used rattle traps many times near dark to attract stripers. Good report!

Good to hear the striper fishing has picked up there. I used to go camping and fishing at Silverwood all the time. No comparison to Mead though. I have to admit, however, that the campgrounds are better at Silverwood than Mead.
