Texas rigged with or without a sinker, weedless wacky, gill hooked, with a jighead, backwards with a pencil sinker so it swims under cover, drop shotted. Scent seems to be important to a lot of guys with this bait. The most fun is to see what works for you. For more training I get $525.00 for a half day... To work the bait use a medium action 6' Spinning rod with a very fast tip and a high speed reel like a 6:1 is good. With 8 to 12 pound test. Now this is my favorite part! If your fishing from a boat point the rod over the side of the boat. and jerk the rod toward the boat and reel back to the starting position. It should be a 2 to 2.5 foot jerk. If fishing from the bank just keep the rod towards the water. And do the same motion The bait will skip scatter and look just like a scared little bait fish. Hint: Try a Skip Cast!! I've caught more fish on skip casting under tree limbs and docks then I can count! I believe that fish in the shallows can see or hear the bait skip across the water. It gives them a second chance to get that bait. Happy Fishing!!! John [signature] Re: [hunter_man9k] how do i work/ use a fluke - gdn443 - 09-23-2008 I rig mine weightless like you would a worm. It allows me to hide the point of the hook so I don't have to worry about weeds. Seems to work for me best in the spring. One bait that should be in your tacklebox. Just kiddin' about the $525 a day... Make it into a dying baitfish and you will get bit. [signature] Re: [TKFS] how do i work/ use a fluke - fishfinderff - 09-28-2008 thank's for tip [signature] |
