How to sell a shotgun - ocean - 09-18-2008
I have a shotgun i cant use anymore how do i go about seling it? Do i need to fill out special paper work before i sell it? ny advice would be appreciated.

You don't need anything special for a local sell, however If I were you, I'd verify age with a valid DL. You could limit your risk further by requiring a CFP with purchase. You only need FFL transfer stuff if you are selling out of state.

For a shotgun or any long gun rifle, you only need to be 18 to legally purchase the weapon. If you are worried, just require a CFP (Concealed Firearms Permit) for the person buying the gun. A federal background check is already done on these people.

Got a moosberg 500 12 gauge . I cant handle it physically anymore i need a 2 operations one on my rotator cuff and one on my herniated disc on my upper right shoulder.

Haven't you heard of KSL.com classifides? There are about 1,000 guns for sale on there at any given time. There are new ones listed usually about every 10 minutes or less depending on the day. If you want to sell it that is the place to list it, if the price is right it will be gone in a day or two.
A psycho will get a gun no matter what the laws are, I wouldn't go around suggesting more gun legislation amungst a hunters forum.
Have you been hearing about people shooting up the town everyday from private gun sales? Didn't think so.
