Tuesday Morning - TheWhizzle - 08-26-2008
Hit the water this morning with Alex. Showed up at about 5:45, fished til 8:30. Lots of surface activity. Landed about 25 stripers, most over a pound. Got some good 3 lbers. Lost one fish that had to have topped 5lbs. Good day out there.

[cool]Hey Whizzle, that is one way to start the day! Were you using lures or bait? I tried the pier for an hour on friday afternoon and got a microdink striper. However I did see alot of bait fish jumping out of the water; and the winds were 15 to 20 mph!

I was throwin' a Spit-n-Image top-water plug most of the morning. I lost the big fish on a bone white Zara Puppy. Caught a couple 3 lbers on the deep diving X-Rap shad. Alex was catching them on jointed Rapalas, and clown colored X-Raps. We had to switch it up quite a bit. They would be on top hitting shad, and then they would chase them deep, going back and forth. Switching back and forth between top-waters and crankbaits was the key.
