Fishing in and around Gilbert AZ - Sinn - 08-17-2008
Hi I wanted to know if anyone would be able to tell me if any of the cannals around the gilbert area have fish. I saw on the az fish and game website that fish are caught in the cannals occasionally.

There are a few fish in the canals but being that close to the Salt River you might as well get over there by the Granite Reef Diversion dam...or the canals that come off of it though most of that is closed to fishing by way of a fence. I have caught a lot of bass right by the dam where the river is not moving..I used to live in Gilbert too.

Just go to the stocked ponds and fish. There is one in Gilbert, few in Mesa, some in Tempe.
