We went to Pali
es, did O.K. considering I dont like fishing the lake in the summer. We set out to find some Kokes so we started in Big Elk, marked lots of fish, threw lots of stuff at 'em and managed only 1 cutty. Then we went over to Bear creek, found lots of fish, no takers...typical Palies !! Went back to Big Elk and finaly caught some Kokes. The fish were 30 to 40 feet down and all of them came on a white RMT squid behind a 4" Pro-Troll flasher. We wound up with 4 kokanee landed,3 nice brown trout, and 1 cutty and as usual lost several others. Most of the fish were caught between 10:00 and 12:00. This not typical of kokanee , catching them that late in the day and on white lures. You just have to try everything sometimes until you find what they want![signature]

Thanks for the report and thanks for not making your pictures so small you can't see any detail. The bigger the picture the better. We went crawfishing at Ririe on Saturday, we saw alot of boats trolling for Kokanee and they were doing pretty good. It was about 10:30 we decided to try tolling while the bait soaked, I used a very similar rig as you did only a purple squid and a orange and pink dodger, I caught three in about 30 mins and my Dad had some flashers with a wedding ring and he only caught one. They were nice healthy fish maybe just a little smaller than yours, and tasted so good. I hope the walleye don't ruin our awsome kokanee fishery up there.
