Oneida?? - muskyhunter - 07-14-2008 Just wondering if anyone here fishes Oneida for walleye I was thinking about giving it a try this weekend. We will be fishing from a boat,got downriggers bottom bouncers ect. Any help would be much appreciated!! I do know that there are decent walleye in there but its pretty spotty. If you find them, you should be able to pick up a few, but don't expect too much. Good luck and let us know how it goes. [signature] Re: [muskyhunter] Oneida?? - muskyhunter - 07-21-2008 Well we gave it a whirl on Saturday and was pretty slow. No eyes for us we trolled cranks and worm harness rapalas ect. All we picked up were a few dink smallmouth and a few decent perch and carp!! There are way to many carp in there. Useing down riggers the cables would hit one about every thirty seconds I have never seen anything like it. Water was nice and calm untill the power squadren came out!! I have never trolled for them up there. Just watch your electronics and you will see where to jig or drop shot for them. [signature] |
