Need to clear something up - maseyferguson05 - 06-29-2008 Now i just got back into fishing and have been doing it alot lately. Just got myself a nice casting rod and reel and am beginning to get pretty good with it. Now i need to start building up my tackle again. With that i have a few questions. What the hells really the big difference between a crank bait and a minnow lure like this. Now i can see an obvious difference in the shape and maybe some of them float and others dive, but what do you use what for what? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SportingGoods_Fishing--Hard%2BBaits--Crankbaits_10151_-1_10001_advisor_CA.CategoryExpand_N_100005001_100000000_100005000 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SportingGoods_Fishing--Hard%2BBaits--Minnows_10151_-1_10001_advisor_CA.CategoryExpand_N_100005002_100000000_100005000 Sorry about the long links and thanks in response ,Bill [signature] Re: [maseyferguson05] Need to clear something up - gdn443 - 06-29-2008 [indent]The crankbait is retrieved at a stead pace or different speeds. The jerkbait you show is retreived at a slower pace and stopped from 5-30secs depending on water temps. Colder the water, slower the pace and stop. I'll use the jerkbaits in the spring and late fall and the cranks work well in summer. But always throw both while out to see what they want that day. I do faver the jointed jerkbaits.
