Norton Bay, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir - idahopanfish - 06-28-2008 Got on the water around 7am (Big Sand Bay was too crouded for me). fished the north side around to big sand bay. Caught lots of small bass 2 perch 7" and 2 crappie 7", yes finally I found some crappie willing to play and even got them on the flyrod[cool]. Fished till noon then headed home. Beautifull day on the water ![]() [signature] Re: [idahopanfish] Norton Bay, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir - windriver - 06-29-2008 What flies do you use for crappie? Windriver [signature] Re: [windriver] Norton Bay, Salmon Falls Creek Reservoir - idahopanfish - 06-30-2008 I was using a clouser, they like minnows so I believe something with some sparkle and movement but not to big will work great. I was also targeting walleye. [cool]The bass tore my first clouser fly up as well. I never got a walleye on the clouser, was going to try a zonker but never did. Most of the walleye I have gotten was on a curly tail jig and I hope to tie something up like them to try for the eye's as well. Also ask what jig patterns are hot right now and maybe you could tie or find a fly that is similar. Hope you are succesfull cause it should be a good tug on the rod[ ![]() [url "http://www.warmwaterflytyer.com/pond.asp?page=5"]http://www.warmwaterflytyer.com/pond.asp?page=5[/url] [signature] |
