Smallies below the Dam - me_and_myboy - 06-24-2008 My son and I have been doing very well fishing for smallmouth below the American Falls Dam. These fish are rapidly becoming our favorite target. We have caught them using Panther Martin spinners and plastic grubs rigged with 1/8 oz jig heads. If the number of small/medium fish is any indication, the fishery should be strong for years to come. If you like to eat them take them, I just wanted to know for myself. I love fishing there. I married a girl from American Falls and that is my favorite Smallmouth spot. [signature] Re: [maghunter] Smallies below the Dam - dma_ayotte - 06-26-2008 [] fishing below the A.M. damn is very good for small mouth bass water levels are low and very very clear i like to use tube jigs i use the light brown salted colors and i use dark (black) color grub looking jigs. makes for a fun time fishing for those fighting guyz. They are my favorite fish. The flow appeared to be greatly decreased from our last trip.
