Hook Trouble - Fisher_girl - 06-23-2008 I've been doing a lot of catfishing, and doing pretty well, too....catching a lot of big ones. The only problem is, I'm fishing for catch and release, and they keep swallowing the hook. I'm using circle hooks, but no matter what size hook i use (i'm using pretty big ones), they keep swallowing it, and so I end up taking home 7 inch catfish to try to use (I hate to waste them). Any advice? I hate to hurt the fish!!!! [signature] Re: [Fisher_girl] Hook Trouble - JasonMcMillin - 06-24-2008 I don't know if this will work but try using different hooks rather than circle hooks because I have heard before and I might be wrong but I have heard that circle hooks are easier for the fish to swallow.
