Lake Quinapaug - gdn443 - 06-22-2008 [size 2]After checking the computer, they where having a tourny on Moodus so we headed local to guilford. On the water at 5 and the topwater bite was on full force. Pulled three bass in the next two hours on a popper. We dropped shotted a drop off and started pulling in some nice pickerel in the 24" range. Water temp was 71-81, sencos did most of the work for us. Total for the day was 8 bass, none over 2 1/2lbs and 8 pickerel. Did see a couple of channel cats dead at the ramp, but never hooked onto one. Seems more peaple are useing this lake than in the past. One was 4" and one was 16" and flopping on the top. They did put some in that are 6+ lbs from what I hear. Now we have to figure out how to catch them besides by accident bass fishing. What areas would they go to in a bass management lake?? [signature]
