Line capacity for reels - ehabnammar - 06-20-2008
I am new in the world of trolling. Just bought Okuma SD 45d and I want to chooce a line for it, and Ihave these info prited on the spool but I do not know what it means
lbs/yds 20/480 25/390 30/320
mm/M .45/440 .5/380 .55/300
KG/M 8/530 10/440 12/360

Welcome to Bigfishtackle and thanks for the question.
Good choice in reel.
The line capacity ratings let you know just how many yards of line you can fit according to the # test line that you intend to use.
the 20/480 means 480yds of 20lb line.
25/390 is 390yds of 25lb line
30/320 is 320yds of 30lb line.
These ratings are for monofilament line. If you are using spectra or other braided lines, the capacity will much higher.[cool]
