Launching from your boat - very serious - reellittlephish - 06-14-2008 Take a look at this article from a very experienced tournament angler. http://www.insideline.net/il-online/columns/08-0530-westerntrail.html Last fall (2007) I got hit by a rogue wake a half mile outside Lake Mead Marina no wake zone. Mid week....I was going about 40mph in my, then new, XZ 225 Skeeter. I never saw it coming. The wake bow hooked us and threw the 20 ft. Skeeter up in the air. Fortunately, no damage other than some shaken nerves. I always wear a life preserver. I always hook up the kill switch when running over 1500 RPM. The guy I sold the old Skeeter to, had a habit of forgetting to do the kill switch attachment.
