I caught a fish today!!! - rw02kr43 - 05-27-2008
I finally figured out how to put the string on my rod thanks to the help here. I can't believe it was that easy. Made me feel so dumb. So, anyway I had my reel here at work so I could practice casting during my breaks. I have a sinker and a rubber fish lure on the end of the line. I didn't have any bait or anything since I was just practicing. I casted in and felt it bite and so I kept reeling in. I had a little fish on the end of it. Nothing big, but still, I caught a fish without using any bait and not really even trying. Probably will be the last fish I ever catch. [laugh] Anyway, casting is fun and casting and reeling in nothing is much more fun than working.

I'm off work tomorrow so I'm going out to a lake. Not sure which one yet though. I'll either try some worms or maybe pepperoni. I should have a few hours to try tomorrow instead of my 15 min I had yesterday.
