We fished Pali
es again and it was slower than last week. Got an early start but only netted 7 trout. The water is very muddy but very warm. It was 36 degrees last weekend and 50 degrees on Sunday. The water clarity will not get better anytime soon. Oh yeah, we did catch a 4 1/2 lb, 23" brown on a jensen dodger/ RMT serpent spoon combo. It spit up an 8" trout when it came on board !![signature]

That's funny...about 2 weeks ago I caught a 21 inch brown . When I went to clean the fish in the sink a rock the size a of ping pong ball shot out of his mouth...after further investigating his mouth, I found a small rotting 4 inch fish stuck in his throat....I don't know how he had room in his mouth to take my lure!

Steve, I have no problem sharing info, it's just that I dont fish Pali
es much and usualy dont catch much. I use downriggers, usualy dragging a dodger/spoon combo 50 to 75 feet behind the ball. We caught most of the fish Sunday on lead-core line with pop-gear dragging a small needlefish spoon. If you are just flatlining try crankbaits, like a shad rap or my favorite the tail dancer from Rapala. Run these at least 100 feet back. I have every piece of fishing gear made and sometimes still can figure out what they want !! The guy I had in my boat 2 weeks ago caught 12 fish on a dardevle with a spinning rod held in his hand !!![signature]

[ul][li]Steve, the hotspots were the dam and the narrows. Some friends of mine fished there last Sunday also, and after a slow start they found a pocket of willing fish. They wound up catching over 30 fish, some being macs. No, they didn't say where !!!. I dont know if that lake will continue to fish well. We are having a super run-off here and I can see the lake rising and becoming muddier everyday.[/li][/ul]
