A senior moment - Dryrod - 05-16-2008 [inline unk.jpg][:p][#008000]Here is one of the flies that worked for me on Weir Lake. Since I only have one left, wanted to tie several more, but my problem is that I can't remember from which pattern I tied it. Also had a similar one that was all white a a bit more fluffier. Used my last one of the latter so no pix. Any suggestions FGD or Scruffy_Fly?[/#008000] [#008000][/#008000] [signature] Re: [Dryrod] A senior moment - flygoddess - 05-17-2008 Looks like a Griffith's Gnat. Peacock body with Grizzle Hackle, but you really can tie them out of whatever you want. I tied some up with Yellow Floss body and Burnt Orange Grizzly. Killer in the Uinta's and I bet your Alpine lakes would love it also. Something about yellow on those HIGH mountain fish. All a Griffith's Gnat is suppose to be is a cluster of Midges. Guess it would have been quicker to look up a griffiths gnat since you provided the answer.[/#008000] [inline griffiths_gnat.jpg] [signature] |
