The state Department of Environmental Protection has postponed the opening of the newly redesigned Gardner Lake State Boat Launch until April 26.
The opening is being put off because of problems caused by soil and ground water conditions and heavy rains during construction.
The public can use the following boat launches in Bashan Lake, Upper Moodus Reservoir and the Lower Moodus Reservoir, all in East Haddam.
