Weber with Orvy(UT) - lunkerhunter2 - 03-09-2008 [size 1]Fished 3 spots from low to high yesterday from sun-up to about 5 pm. We started throwning x-raps in the holes and Jeff caught the only 2 fish. I lost the biggest or second biggest brown of my life. One of only 2 fish i thought were snags, the other was a 9' sturgeon! This fish was very easily over 32" and close to 10#! I saw him from only about 5' away but now i know where he lives.[ ![]() [/size] [size 1][inline "jeffs hog inline.jpg"] The pics absolutely do not do this fish justice. He was extatic as was I. We then moved up the river 10 miles and broke out the fly rods. We caught 6 fish there and headed to the echo/wanship area.Good move. We caught many nice fish there and some toads as well. All in all we ended up with 26 fish and the last stop being the most productive. All sorts of flies produced but my best was a size 12 prince and a size 16 bhfbhe in a cream color. Jeff's best was probably one of 2, a red brassie or a sow bug. I got a few pics of Jeff on the digital and he got one of me with it, but most of the fish were put back without a pic. MacFly [cool] [signature] Re: [macfly55] Weber with Orvy(UT) - flygoddess - 03-10-2008 I wanted to go with Lunker this Sunday, BUT I forgot it was daylight Savings time so by the time we got done with the show (KILLER BY THE WAY) tore down and loaded in the trailer, drop off the guitar, we got home at 3:30 a.m. SOOOO we were dragging behind today, but what a beautiful day. Maybe the pond this week...WAHOO! [signature] Re: [flygoddess] Weber with Orvy(UT) - macfly55 - 03-10-2008 I hates these time changes.. except the fall back.. lol.. add the weather.. the band.. and everything else.. no wonder you were dragging the behind... but there is always next week.. I generally do not keep slimers unless my 18 month old makes a special request. Panfish are much better table fare.[ ![]() [signature] Re: [flygoddess] Weber with Orvy(UT) - lunkerhunter2 - 03-10-2008 Better hurry, the floods will begin pretty soon and the slitherin' no-see-ums will be out too.[crazy] [signature] Re: [macfly55] Weber with Orvy(UT) - jbaldwinblkft - 03-10-2008 MacFly, Don't be too hard on the time change. DST gives me an extra hour after work to fish. [cool] [signature] Re: [jbaldwinblkft] Weber with Orvy(UT) - macfly55 - 03-10-2008 there is always a silver lining in the dark clouds.. in my case it just gets me home before the sun goes down... I might.. if I plan it right.. get some time to practice casting... [ ![]() MacFly ![]() [signature] |
