Quail creek/otter creek (report) - Lonnie - 04-22-2003
Went to so. utah tuesday thru sunday.We camped at quail creek and fished it almost daily,we got skunked on all occasions ecept on fri from 7-7:30 p.m. when my son landed 9 bass in the 30 min slot all between 3-6 lbs.Go figure!
Drove to otter creek on thur. morning fished in a driving snow storm.We caught fat 14-16" rainbows from shore for 2 hours,About an average of five casts between fish using a red and gold jakes lure(old faithful)Snow got real serious so we went back to camp.Also tried gunlock,I should have cast up on the shore,at least I could have hooked some brush or something.Also lost the transmission in my 98" suburban,had to be rebuilt in cedar city $2056(ouch!)Turned into a very expensive trip.O well,I did catch some fish.
