I have seen pictures of catfish weighing around 30 - 50 lbs, does anyone know which states or places these big cats are being caught?

The mississippi river holds monster cats, as well as most of the major river and lake system in the carolinas. Santee Cooper, SC is probably one of the most popular catfishing areas in the US.

The colorado river in Arizona, there are lots of big cats all along the river.

[cool] There are a lot of big cats caught in the Ouachita River in Louisiana. I have seen some as bit as 70-80 lbs.
